Schlossberg Hotel Homburg hosts weddings on the Schlossberg above Homburg (Saarland): in the 400 m² ballroom for up to 200 guests, in the restaurant with its terrace for up to 70 guests, or in smaller salons. Celebrant-led ceremonies can take place on the terrace or in the Hohenburg castle ruins next door, and up to 130 guests can stay overnight in the hotel.

Your day
Our function rooms sit on the Schlossberg, looking out over the rooftops of Homburg and the surrounding countryside. Here we plan your day the way you picture it: from the champagne reception on the terrace to dinner and the last dance.
Our events team looks after you from your very first enquiry. We advise you in person on the room, the running order, food, drinks and decoration, and bring your ideas to life. For a DJ, a limousine service or entertainers, we are happy to put you in touch with reliable partners.
Your guests can stay right here: our 66 rooms and suites sleep up to 130 people. Parking is available; cars can stay overnight and should be collected by midday the following day.
Rooms
From a large party in the ballroom to an intimate wedding. We will work out together which room suits your number of guests.
Up to 200 guests
Our largest room, with its own panoramic terrace for a champagne reception or a celebrant-led ceremony.
Up to 70 guests
The restaurant and its terrace suit mid-sized weddings. The terrace works well for a champagne reception or a celebrant-led ceremony.
For smaller weddings
Four salons for smaller parties. Salon 4 and Salon 5 can be combined into one 110 m² room seating up to 40 guests at tables.

Outdoor ceremony
For a celebrant-led ceremony, choose the restaurant terrace or the ballroom terrace. A ceremony can also be held in the Hohenburg castle ruins, right next to the hotel.
We have chairs and a choice of wedding arches in house. Whether the reception or the meal moves outdoors in fine weather is something we decide together at short notice before the day, depending on the forecast and the space.
Why us
Food & drink
Set menus and buffets can be combined, for example a plated starter before the buffet. If you have something different in mind, we will put together a menu just for you.
Gala dinner
Menus of several courses, for example zander fillet with beetroot risotto or beef fillet with port jus. You can try your menu beforehand with up to 6 people.
Buffet
Finger food, starters, mains with fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, sides and desserts of your choice. As a midnight snack, perhaps a cheese board or currywurst.
Grill and pasta station
At the live grill station, our chefs cook meat, fish and vegetable skewers in front of your guests – or fresh pasta, tossed in a whole wheel of Parmesan.
Champagne to packages
Drinks packages for 8 hours, from soft drinks, beer, wine and sparkling wine to long drinks and cocktails, plus a package for children. Spirits charged by consumption or as a round after dinner.
Decoration & cake
Our decoration team plans the table and room decoration with you and sets everything up on the day exactly as agreed. The most popular items come as a package: coloured LED room lighting, white tablecloths and linen napkins, decoration for 5 high tables and individual decoration as discussed.
At the start of each year, you can put together your table decoration in a personal appointment during our decoration preview days. Please do without confetti and scatter decorations; sparklers are not permitted indoors or on the terrace.
You are welcome to bring your own wedding cake or a cake buffet; we charge a plate fee for service, crockery and cutting. Alternatively, we can make an ice cream cake from our own ice cream, with several tiers and your favourite flavours if you wish.
Planning
We recommend getting in touch 12 to 18 months ahead, especially if you have a particular date in mind.
With a rough guest count, we choose the right room and talk through the running order, food and drinks.
You taste your menu with up to 6 people; buffets are tasted at one of our buffet tasting evenings (Hochgenussabend). Changes are possible afterwards.
At the start of the year, you choose your table decoration in a personal appointment.
We decorate, cook and serve. The party runs until 2 am; the terrace closes at 10 pm at the latest.

The ballroom measures 400 m² and holds up to 200 guests; it can be combined with other rooms. The 200 m² restaurant holds up to 70. For smaller weddings there are several salons of 45 to 55 m².

There is no room hire, but there is a minimum spend on food, drinks and decoration. The amount depends on the room; guest rooms do not count towards it. We will give you the exact terms in our quote.
