Hospitality
since 1845

Guests have been welcomed on the Schlossberg for almost two centuries. A hikers’ inn became the spa house, later the hilltop restaurant and, in 1959, the hotel.

  1. 1845Hellwig’s cottage opens an inn for hikers.
  2. 1901The tower is built, praised as “Restauration und Kurhaus Schlossberg” (restaurant and spa house).
  3. 1939Karlsberg Brewery builds the hilltop restaurant.
  4. 1959Opens as a hotel and sports lodge; among the first guests: Otto Hahn.
  5. 2021Comprehensive renovation and modernisation completed.
